Denise always blamed herself for her parents' deaths. She was ten years old the night her mother shot her father and moments later herself, leaving Denise parentless. Denise grew up in the loving home of Queenie Phillips, her mother's sister. All the love she received never erased the guilt and loneliness Denise felt after she lost her parents.
